March is Women’s History Month and a great time to remind you of all the women-owned shops to support around town. Women-owned businesses are among the crowned jewels of our city and constantly provide us with unique merchandise and a friendly shopping experience. From vintage finds to locally made cosmetics, there’s a women-led business for just about everything in the community. Here are a few to check out. 

Planted

This shop is an indoor plant nursery specializing in plants, modern pottery, workshops, and maintenance programs. With greenery ranging in all sizes and styles, Tina Turman works to bring quality plants and plant education to the community. 3847 S Alameda St.

Wildflowers

For all things home decor, Wildflowers is the perfect spot. Led by owner Terrie Moore, this home and garden boutique has a selection of hand-picked European antiques, vintage finds, handmade pottery, and unique plants to style your home.  2729 S Padre Island Dr.

4 Chicks in the Park 

This Lamar Park shop is your one-stop shop for gifts, party supplies, a new outfit or something to spruce up your home. With an abundance of Women’s and Children’s clothing, home accessories, toys and home accessories, 4 Chicks in the Park has something for just about everyone. 3819 S Alameda St.

Coastal Closet
