Not only does this event provide guests with a variety of options for a new plant or two, but it also serves as a wonderful opportunity for folks to see the whole bloomin’ Botanical Gardens at a discounted $2 community day admission price. Bring the family for a photo op with the Easter Bunny and Mayor Paulette Guajardo, from 2 – 3 p.m., and attend the reptile show, parrot talk, and ladybug and butterfly releases throughout the day.

Browse a beautiful sea of color made up of plumeria, xeriscape, natives, hibiscus, bougainvillea, butterfly plants, colorful landscape choices and more from six different growers from all over Texas. Then, shop the orchid sale and vendors selling yard and patio décor. In between shopping, visit one of the available food trucks, such as local favorite Loli’s Streatery, and take the kiddos to the kids’ play area.

The Big Bloom Mega Plant sale is free to attend for members, and free parking will be available by the walking entrance through the Rose Pavilion. To avoid traffic backing up onto Staples Street, the event will have Nueces County Sheriff’s patrol cars direct all Big Bloom traffic to the signal light at Country Creek Dr. and Staples, then down South Oso Parkway to the Botanical Gardens back gate.

You won’t want to miss this awesome community event. Just don’t forget to bring your plant wagon!
