Viral Coffee Drink Makes it to Corpus Christi

Divina Dulzura Bakery, a new Chilean bakery cafe on the Southside of Corpus Christi, offers a taste of Chilean tradition with a twist of modern flair. Alongside an array of delectable baked goods, this bakery is serving up the latest viral sensation: the cracking latte. The innovative drink starts with a smooth iced latte encased in a hardened layer of chocolate that envelops the entire cup. Choose from flavors like chocolate, vanilla or caramel to top off your drink, and experience the satisfying moment when you crack open the chocolate shell to reveal the rich, creamy coffee waiting inside.

New Coffee Shop Opens Uptown

Grind Coffee, the latest addition to the local coffee scene, invites you to slow down and savor every sip. Conveniently located for those working uptown or downtown, this new coffee spot offers the perfect break from the daily grind. While you’ll find classics like iced americanos, traditional lattes and pour-overs on the menu, Grind Coffee also surprises with offerings like an iced brown cinnamon sugar latte and a berry refresher. Grind Coffee also offers its own roast and coffee subscriptions. Currently in its soft opening phase, the shop is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

New Spot for Drinks & Bites Downtown

Taking over the former Bella Luna space, On the Rocks brings a new spot for drinks and bar bites downtown. The menu features crowd-pleasers like burgers and fries, street tacos and more, with the kitchen serving until midnight. Cocktail fans won’t want to miss the Sunday Special, offering discounts on mimosas, frozen margaritas and espresso martinis. Beyond the food and drinks, On the Rocks adds to the fun with a pool table, cozy lounge seating, regular DJ nights and weekly specials like Pint Night every Thursday and Taco Tuesday.

The Roughian Celebrates Anniversary w/ Homecoming Dinners

The Roughian, a beloved dining concept that began as intimate pop-ups and has grown into a staple of Corpus Christi’s culinary scene, is celebrating its anniversary this month. To mark the occasion, the restaurant is hosting a series of special “Homecoming” dinners on Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27. The carefully curated menu features a berry and brie salad, the crowd-favorite “Boars in a Duvet” (yes, that is a fun and delectable take on Pigs in a Blanket), indulgent short rib mac and cheese and a chocolate chip ricotta cake, all complemented by perfectly paired cocktails and wines. The evening kicks off at 6:45 p.m., with dinner served at 7:15. Reservations are required and can be booked online—don’t hesitate, as these events are sure to sell out!
