Elevate 402 brings a new nightlife option to Downtown Corpus Christi with handcrafted cocktails, elevated bar bites and rooftop views of Corpus Christi Bay and the downtown skyline. Located inside Homewood Suites Downtown Corpus Christi, the fifth-floor bar and lounge combines a modern indoor space with an open-air rooftop and Topgolf Swing Suites.
Elevate 402 is designed to feel upscale, comfortable and welcoming. It offers several ways to spend an evening, from drinks after work or a date night to celebrations with friends. Outside, lounge seating overlooks the marina, bay and downtown, while the indoor bar offers another space for cocktails and conversation. Friendly service is also part of that approach, creating an experience that feels polished without requiring a special occasion.
“From the beginning, we wanted Elevate 402 to be a place people from Corpus Christi would be excited to visit, a place to meet friends, celebrate something special or just enjoy a night downtown,” said Juanita Gallegos, director of sales and marketing.
Part of that vision was creating another reason for locals to head downtown and spend more of their evening there, with food, cocktails, music, rooftop seating and entertainment all available in one place.
Behind the bar, infused spirits, housemade syrups and tinctures give the cocktail menu its own identity, while classics offer something familiar. Signature drinks include the Sun Kissed and 402 Martini, along with the Extended Stay, Gallegos’ personal favorite.
The Extended Stay starts with Bumbu Spiced Rum infused with a whole pineapple per bottle. Bartenders combine the infused rum with a housemade citrus coconut palm sugar cordial, salt and tiki bitters, resulting in a smooth cocktail layered with tropical, citrus and spiced flavors.
“There’s a lot that goes into it, but what guests get is a smooth, flavorful cocktail that’s easy to enjoy,” Gallegos said.
Food is meant for sharing over drinks, with elevated bar bites developed to fit the lounge setting. The menu came together through ideas shared across the team, with dishes chosen to complement an evening of cocktails. One standout is the Bay Cakes—fluffy mini corn flour pancakes topped with smoked trout roe, French cultured butter, chives and a drizzle of local honey. The combination brings savory, smoky and creamy flavors together with a touch of sweetness.
For Gallegos, the different elements of Elevate 402 are meant to give guests more than one way to enjoy the space throughout the night.
“I love the idea of someone coming up for one drink and making a whole evening out of it,” she said. “You order a few bites, enjoy the views, play in a Topgolf Swing Suite and suddenly a couple of hours have gone by.”
From cocktails and bar bites to Topgolf and drinks overlooking the water, Elevate 402 adds a new way to experience Downtown Corpus Christi.
