With Liposuction, larger areas of unwanted fat cells can be suctioned to create dramatic results in just one surgery. Almost anyone that has fat pockets present is a candidate, with a BMI of 30 or below. While placed under general anesthesia, Dr. Vijay makes a few small incisions with a scalpel, then uses a surgical tool called a cannula to loosen and suction the unwanted fat cells out of your body. Dr. Vijay can contour the body that you desire in multiple areas removing up to 5 liters of fat! Post-surgery, your body is expected to experience swelling, drainage and bruising for a few weeks. Daily massages and a compression garment is required to decrease the risks of contour deformities and optimize results! While liposuction is typically an instant drastic result, final results of are seen at about 6 weeks.
Now, let’s talk CoolSculpting. This is an ideal solution to treat those stubborn fat cells that won’tgo away despite diet and exercise. Candidacy depends on the size of the area, BMI, and skin laxity. With this treatment, targeted fat cells are frozen to death, literally. As the fat cells are broken down, your body’s immune system flushes them through your lymphatic system over 12 weeks with one session. Each session permanently removes 25% of your fat cells, and 2 sessions are typically recommended! The “COOL” thing (no pun intended) is that there is absolutely no downtime, anesthesia, needles or maintenance. After the treatment, your body does the work in the months to come.
