Long known for its fine dining reputation, Fork & Vines introduced a full craft cocktail program last spring. Led by bar manager Tiffany McDevitt and built on the foundation established by local cocktail innovator Jacob McClain, the new bar has quickly become a draw for guests who want more than wine with their meal.
McDevitt said the addition has created something special for the neighborhood. “Adding that element really put a gem in this little neighborhood,” she shared. “People are walking down the street, coming in for a drink and then walking home.”
McDevitt brings years of experience working across Corpus Christi’s restaurant and bar scene, and her approach to cocktails reflects both skill and intention. She explained that cocktail making is not just pouring drinks but creating a full experience, from balancing flavors to shaping how a guest feels with each sip.

Her approach incorporates techniques such as foaming egg whites and smoking cocktails, drawing on methods commonly used by mixologists and inspired by bartenders around the world. Creativity fuels much of her work, whether she is developing seasonal menus, testing new ideas guests bring in or experimenting with unexpected concepts like a lasagna-inspired Bloody Mary. She strives to offer a well-rounded menu that appeals to different palates.
The current cocktail lineup reflects the groundwork McClain established, offering a mix of spirit-forward, floral or citrus-driven options, crafted with layers of flavor and attention to detail as McDevitt prepares to shape its next evolution. Several of the bar’s signature creations draw inspiration from classic literature, and offerings like All the Pretty Horses, The Handmaid’s Tale and The Count of Monte Cristo add character to the menu and invite guests to explore innovative options.
Favorites include the Midsummer Night’s Dream, a floral and lightly sweet gin and vodka cocktail with chamomile honey, ginger beer and butterfly pea flower. Another standout, the Robin Hood, leans richer with smoked black walnut syrup and a dramatic tableside smoke presentation.

Brunch cocktails offer their own personality, especially with the Pancake Flip, a drink that presents a blend of bourbon, vanilla, lemon, maple syrup and egg, dusted with cinnamon for a warm, cozy finish. These drinks pair well with Fork & Vines’ bright, daytime atmosphere, which shifts from the restaurant’s evening vibe into a more illuminated setting. McDevitt said brunch has been “a fun change” for guests and staff alike.
Cocktail and dinner pairings are also part of the dining experience. McDevitt recommends darker, richer cocktails like The Odyssey with hearty dishes such as short rib. Lighter plates, such as fish, are complemented by citrus-forward or sparkling cocktails like the Corpse Reviver #2 or a Classic French 75.
Seasonal updates, event menus and a full refresh of the main cocktail list are already in the works for early 2026, bringing new creations that reflect her style and expand the menu.
