Camp Aranzazu is a unique bayfront camp in Rockport, TX, that gives campers of all ages and abilities the classic summer camp adventure, year-round. Campers travel from across Texas and in some cases, from around the country to enjoy nature and recreate in a space specifically designed to meet their needs. Situated on 100 acres on Copano Bay, the camp provides access to a wide range of activities, including sailing, birding, ziplining, kayaking, and the fan-favorite marshmallow paint wars.

Camp Aranzazu has a big, bold vision for the future: A world built for belonging. While the team loves their beautiful grounds on the bay, the work being done at camp is meant to leave the gates. The self-confidence and resilience campers show while they climb the rock wall stays with them long past their stay at camp. The belief that there is always a way to make an experience more accessible so others can join in the fun remains with the camp staff once they leave and go back into the world.
For the past 20 years, all the work at Camp Aranzazu is done with the end goal of a world where people of all ages and abilities are celebrated and included in all walks of life. At its core, the camp was designed to serve campers with disabilities, disabling conditions, and other barriers to camping. It emphasizes one simple truth: adventure belongs to everyone, always.

Camp Aranzazu operates as a nonprofit partner camp, which means the facility hosts groups that travel to the grounds, underwriting the costs by up to two-thirds. This financial support allows the team to make camp a reality for campers without burdening their loved ones or the organizations who care for them. There are various ways to join in this mission. You can support the team through monetary or in-kind donations, or by attending one of many events throughout the year. The next one, “ZaZu Music & More,” is February 28th at Concrete Street Ampitheatre.
