A beloved classic opening a new location, new margarita flights, and more

Hom Pom Café

Crab rangoons, lemongrass chicken, bubble tea, oh my! Hom Pom Café, a new café featuring Thai and Laos flavors, is opening on Wednesday, August 4. The new café is teaming up with Dagon Produce for local, organic, pesticide-free vegetables. Hom Pom is also experimenting with different ingredients such as okra to offer more vegan options. Check out their curry ramen, or their vegan spring rolls!

Vick’s Hamburgers Opens a Third Location

Originally opening in 1974, this Corpus Christi staple is opening a third location on the Southside of Corpus. The new Vick’s Hamburgers location will be located on 6734 Saratoga Boulevard and is set to open in the Spring of 2022. This new location will be able to seat about 90 people, and will still retain the classic and modern style of the previous two locations. While waiting for the new location to open, you can enjoy Vick’s other two locations at 626 North Port Avenue and 4989 Ayers Street. 

New Margarita Flights at The Waterline at Doc’s

Stay cool this August with a new margarita flight at Doc’s! With fresh and fruity flavors such as mango, cucumber, strawberry and Miami Vice, cool down with this refreshing new margarita flight at 13309 S Padre Island Dr in Corpus Christi. 

Coffee Barrel Gets New Brunch Item 

“The Hangover,” as Coffee Barrel calls it, will be a ciabatta bread sandwich layered with ham, sausage, bacon, egg, and an in-house made herbed goat cheese. This new sandwich also features herbs from a locally grown garden. Coffee Barrel is located at 401 Corpus Christi St. in Beeville, TX.
