The Water Street Market has had one of its buildings underbrconstruction for a couple of months now. Our neighbors had been keeping theirbrnewest project under lock and key until a couple of weeks ago when they announced its name and nature, The Sushi Room—a poke bowl and sushi roll haven.
The Lomax gang invited us over for lunch on Wednesday tobrbe one of their first customers at their soft opening. Our staff was shocked asbrwe entered the building to an almost unrecognizable space! The mood is lightbrand airy—greenery lines the staircase and the muted colors of grey and whitebrare complimented with a bold blue tone.

The menu is stacked with items for all types of sushibrlovers. With fresh ingredients, vegetarian options, and smaller snacks likebredamame, soup, and salads, there is something for everyone!

The space is set upbrin a way to get people in and their food delivered in the most efficient waybrpossible. When entering, you immediately are greeted by the friendly staff andbrare able to order your food. The kitchen gets to work immediately as you makebryour way upstairs to the dining area, complete with a condiment and drink bar. Youbrcan also enjoy the food outside at any of the patio seating options available.
It’s safe to say our staff was sold on the SushibrRoom. We are thrilled to have been included in their soft opening and cannotbrwait for the rest of the Coastal Bend to try them out.
