Elizabeth’s Brings Dinner to the Table
Elizabeth’s at the Museum has officially expanded their menu, now offering fine dinner dining options. The new menu has everything from scallops to fresh racks of lamb, perfect to savor while watching the sunset over the bay.
Kegged Cocktails
The Post has introduced their first kegged cocktail – the Raspberry Iced Tea-to. The drink is an earl gray tea infused with Tito’s Vodka, raspberry syrup, and citric acid, topped with lemon-lime soda. This fresh and citrusy cocktail is perfect to enjoy on the patio as spring moves in.
A New Roast to Sip
Created by local coffee queens Sadie Lopez and Michelle Fraedrick Alafghani, Roastretto is the newest coffee roast brand to hit Corpus Christi. With two blends available for purchase, you can snag a bag online or locally at Bien Mérité now.
Fresh Fish and Chips
Just in time for the Lenten season, Chops & Eggs has added fish and chips to the menu. The tempura-fried fish and fries are cooked to a golden crisp, a delicious meal sure to leave you full.
Fresh Take on Salad
BKK has added a few new salad options to the menu, one being Nam Tak. The menu item comes with sirloin, baby kale, mint, cilantro, Thai basil, shallots, roasted cashew nuts, toasted rice, Thai chili, and nam jim jaew.
Snacks at Saigon’s Civet Cafe
Saigon’s Civet Cafe has introduced wusubi to their menu, a snack and lunch food composed of a slice of grilled Spam on top of a block of rice, wrapped together with nori, or dried seaweed. This addition is a popular snack item and made fresh.
Floral Wines for Spring
Italian Cowboy has a new wine just in time for the change in season. The Il Monticello’s Rosato contains a mouthwatering balance of fruity and floral notes! Made using organic and biodynamic practices is light and refreshing.
Beachy Brews
Lazy Beach Brewing has a new brew available as part of their weekly beer release. The Kohatu Haze IPA is new on tap. This delicious hop gives this beer a tropical fruit and woodsy aroma. The IPA is part of a limited run, and won’t last long but is sure to bring in the warmer weather.
Saying Goodbye to a Classic
At the beginning of March, Nuevo Cafe announced its permanent closure. The community quickly went to social media to express their feelings towards the news and shared fond memories of the cafe. The fate of its famous Roasted Poblano Soup, however, is yet to be decided.
