Snoopy’s Brand Expands w/ New Oyster Bar
Snoopy’s Pier has been a staple in the Coastal Bend community for decades, and the beloved brand just opened its newest endeavor, Snoopy’s Pearl Oyster Bar, right next door! The Oyster Bar serves up locally-harvested oysters when available and has a variety of specialty oysters daily. If you’re looking for something with a little more bite, try one of the oyster shooters such as the Bloody Mary-inspired option complete with Tito’s vodka, a freshly shucked Gulf oyster, housemade Bloody Mary mix and topped with fresh micro pico. 13313 South Padre Island Dr.
Persis Indian Grill & Bar Opens
When it comes to Indian cuisine, the options in Corpus Christi are certainly lacking. However, a new local spot is ready to change that! Persis Indian Grill & Bar packs in bold flavor with all real spices and fresh ingredients to provide customers with quality dishes. The menu includes butter chicken, chicken biryani, naan bread and so much more. Plus, the restaurant also features a large variety of vegetarian-friendly dishes.
Mango Frozen Snacks Opens w/ Tasty Treats
From milkshakes and Pepino splits to Raspa Locas and churros, Mango Frozen Snacks has a delicious variety of treats for everyone. With Spring Break on the horizon, its newest menu item, the coconut raspa complete with a scoop of pineapple Italian ice and topped with diced pineapple and lechera drizzle, is what we’re currently craving. The new local spot also features weekly specials such as Watermelon Wednesdays when a loaded watermelon fruit cup costs only $5 and Smoothie Saturdays when all smoothies are $5. 912 S. Port Ave.
BUS Opens its New Food Concept
After five years of providing locals with craft cocktails and a family-friendly atmosphere, BUS has expanded its business to include a permanent food concept on the back porch. The new concept will feature cocktail and food pairings focused on “quality ingredients scaled up in a casual and approachable atmosphere,” owner Lesley Lomax shared. “The menu will be fairly small, with the goal being that each item inhabits its own niche, from hearty to light and from individual to group dishes. Coffee Waves Opens New Location
The local coffee shop recently expanded its locations to the London Square Plaza. The new shop, designed by the owners, features the same menu items you’ve come to know and love from Coffee Waves–such as those delicious gelato flavors and excellent caffeinated beverages. The London Square Plaza location also includes a variety of sandwiches and pastries, breakfast tacos, a conference room available for booking and a drive-thru window. 1290 FM 43, Suite D.
Sam and Louie’s Pizzeria Opens in Corpus Christi
The Sam and Louie’s franchise has expanded to Corpus Christi! Local Pam Chavez, who is also a Veteran and a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, owns and operates the new pizza joint and spearheaded the renovation and design process for the restaurant. Located in the Parkdale Plaza, Chavez also developed the menu, which contains a variety of mouthwatering, housemade, hand-thrown pizzas, calzones, Strombolis, wings and more. 4117 S.
