In our monthly Table Talk series, we gather a few food-and-drink-related headlines into one place for your convenience. From new local restaurants to menu additions and beyond, here’s what we’ve got our eye on this month.

Bluffs Lookout Reopens With New Outdoor Seating

The Lookout was temporarily closed to complete work on their new outdoor seating deck, but has reopened for business as of Feb. 3. Look out at the bay and graze a beautifully crafted charcuterie board to share, or dig into their fresh seafood menu. If you’re in the mood to kick back with a drink, check out their seasonal cocktail, draft beer and sommelier-curated wine menu. The local restaurant’s current hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 4242 Laguna Shores Rd.

Executive Surf Club Reopens After Remodel 

It’s finally time! Downtown’s burger, seafood and beer hub is back and as awesome as ever. Executive Surf Club is in its original building with a totally rad, new look. The remodel included updates to the kitchen, bar and bathrooms. The new bathrooms have been given a major facelift, becoming the talk of the remodel and a surprising source of local excitement. Executive Surf Club’s current hours are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 11 to 12 a.m. 306 North Chaparral St

Produce Franchise Introduces Produce Bar Co.

Long-time downtown Corpus Christi resident, the Produce franchise, has added a brand new beer and wine garden to the Produce Gallery located on Peoples Street. The artist-run bar, Produce Bar Co, will showcase art, design, music and fashion in the perfect space to grab a drink and hang out. The bar is currently serving a variety of beer, seltzers and wine, and will feature a lineup of specialty wine and sake-based cocktails. The space is open on Fridays from 5:30 p.m. to midnight and Saturdays from 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. 

Fresh Made Food at Produce Goods Micro Bodega 

The Produce Goods Micro Bodega has begun serving food made fresh by the Executive Head Chef Cris Olvera. Rotating food items for sale range from sweet berries and cream conchas and a raspberry cream cheese sandwich to savory pesto chicken salad and bahn mi. Check out the Micro Bodega for all things snack and drink and now, delicious fresh food! 415 Peoples St.

D’lites Cream Ice Cream Shop Open 

A new frozen treat shop has come to Corpus Christi! D’lites Cream serves low-calorie, low-carb and low-sugar ice cream. The shop also features a market shelf with tasty treats to take to go. Be sure to check their Instagram story, where you can find the flavor of the day. 6202 Dunbarton Oak Dr.

Buen Provecho is Closed Until Further Notice

Buen Provecho, which opened its doors in 2022 and rounded up a beloved following of taco fanatics, has unfortunately closed its doors indefinitely. However, fans of owner A.J. Brooks Ruiz and the flavors he cooks up will still have a chance to taste his food via pop-ups inside Texas Coffee Bar. Keep an eye out for upcoming pop-ups on their Instagram
