The sun will come out every day that Annie takes the stage at the Harbor Playhouse.
A cast of more than 50 actors and singers are bringing this classic story and its timeless showtunes to life from March 9 through April 15.
Emma Pullin stars as the endearing young Annie who lives in an orphanage in 1930s New York City. In her quest to find the parents who abandoned her, she meets unforgettable characters like Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks (played by Paul Klemm) and his secretary Grace Farrell (played by Alyce Oblad). And don’t forget about the iconic pup Sandy!
Patrons will be swept away by the story, thanks to the marvelous talent behind it.
“The voices and talent in Annie blew us away,” says Bob Pritchard, Managing Director of the Harbor Playhouse. “Normally, you pick seven actors; one Annie and six orphans. That’s it. But these girls are so incredible, we ended up choosing 21 of them. We are literally filling the stage with these actors – and it’s fabulous.”
From the beloved tunes like ‘It’s a Hardknock Life’ to the engaging acting, this family-friendly activity has something for everyone. Plus, The Harbor Playhouse creates an immersive experience with themed snacks, a large cutout for photo ops, cast meet-and-greets following the show, and more.
Showings for Annie are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. There are also 2:30 p.m. showings on Sunday March 18, March 25, April 8, and April 15.
