Welcome to The Bend’s Ultimate Pizza Showdown: A Slice to Victory! In preparation for our November issue, we’re calling on our readers to help us find the best pies in the Coastal Bend. Get ready to embark on a mouthwatering journey where the best pizzerias in town go head-to-head to win the ultimate pizza crown. This isn’t just a competition—it’s a celebration of creativity, flavor and community spirit. To stay up to date with the competition, check back here or on our Instagram stories daily.
How it Works:
ROUND ONE COMPLETE
Submit your favorite local pizza spot in the open call below. Please only submit locally-owned businesses in the Coastal Bend region. The top entries will be placed into a 16-team single elimination bracket and seeded according to nomination count.
ROUND TWO COMPLETE
The top 16 entries will be seeded and placed into a bracket. Each group will have a 24-hour voting period hosted on The Bend’s Instagram stories and website. The votes from both platforms will be added together.
ROUND THREE COMPLETE
The eight victors from round two will advance to round three and be matched accordingly. Each group will have a 24-hour voting period hosted on The Bend’s Instagram stories and website. The votes from both platforms will be added together.
ROUND FOUR COMPLETE
The four victors from round three will advance to round four and be matched accordingly. Each group will have a 24-hour voting period hosted on The Bend’s Instagram stories and here on this page.
FINAL ROUND COMPLETE
The two victors from round four will advance to the final round. The final round will last 24 hours and be hosted on The Bend’s Instagram stories and this page. Participating businesses will be notified of their final placement.
