The art scene is exploding in downtown Corpus Christi. While ourbrsparkling city by the bay has always had an artistic undercurrent, in the lastbrfew years murals and street art have popped up all over town. Speaking ofbrwhich, you might have noticed a new burst of color on your way down MesquitebrStreet recently. From the artist who brought us the Sea Turtle mural located onbrthe Braswell Building, also on Mesquite Street, comes the iconic “Greetingsbrfrom” postcard mural that is recognizable across many cities in the UnitedbrStates.

The artist, Jeremy Flores of Cre8ive Cultures, along with thebrowners of the building, Richline Technical Services, who are celebrating theirbr17th year in business in the Coastal Bend, wanted to honor all thebriconic scenes that define Corpus Christi. Highlighted in each of the lettersbrare scenes like the Harbor Bridge, the Lexington, Surfing Jesus, the sunrise atbrBob Hall Pier, and most famously, Selena.

The mural dons the north facing wall of the Richline TechnicalbrServices building whose owners sought out Jeremy after being inspired by a tripbrto Chile. The bursts of colors throughout the Chilean landscape of houses andbrmurals made them want to bring some of that flavor back to the Coastal Bend.br“We also hope this will add fuel to the fire of the mural and arts popping upbraround downtown Corpus Christi,” says Josh Richline, owner of RichlinebrTechnical Services. “We hope that all who see it will feel a sense of pride inbrCorpus Christi.”
