Green Light Coffee’s second location is now open on Corpus Christi’s Southside. If you’ve been to their downtown shop, you know they do cool, hip coffee house vibes extremely well. They have already set the bar high for the best coffee shop in town, and their new Southside digs raise the stakes even higher.
Their rich, dark color scheme continues in the eclectic décor of the freshly finished space. If you appreciate modern and eccentric design, the new spot will have you wanting to move right in. Strategically placed lighting provides the ideal ambiance for studying, working, or lounging and hanging out with friends.
Along with Green Light Coffee classics, like Sarah’s Sweet Tea and their signature cold brew, there is a new and expanded menu available on the Southside. The unique selection of tea beverages is delightful. The lavender matcha tea is especially light, aromatic, and delicious. Watching it being made is a beautiful experience.
There is no shortage of innovation at Green Light Coffee. They have pushed the envelope with their latest creation, the House Hot Chocolate. Listed on the menu as “coming soon,” the House Hot Chocolate is made with espresso and the option to add a cotton candy topper. If you’d rather get back to the basics, Green Light’s take on the classic latte is superb. This bold espresso’s taste explodes with a big jolt of caffeine and tons of flavor notes.
Green Light’s new food menu includes everything from gourmet toast and pastries to grab and go quick bites. I tried the Avocado Dukkha toast, which has an exciting combination of avocado and culture-rich seasonings like coriander, cumin, thyme, and other sweet, hot, and savory herbs.
The delectable set of beverages and eats along with the warm, inviting atmosphere will make you want to relax here all day long. Stop by the new Green Light Coffee on the Southside and prepare to be amazed.
