A pop of color or a touch of texture is all a room needs to pull it all together. Rugs can accomplish just that. With so many varieties of flooring these days, from concrete to laminate to wood, consumers are looking to soften up the ground they walk on while adding a certain style to the room. Rugs are being seen in all the magazines and blogs these days and no matter their size, they make an impressive impact.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Vinyl Mats
These are available in hundreds of styles and colors. This bold print struck me for a modern look that can transform any space with its durable nonstick surface. These are perfect for your kitchen, laundry room or outdoor environment
Hide
One of a kind hides are a design element that can’t be missed. This rug caught my eye for its uniqueness and versatility. These are ethically sourced and if cared for properly, will last a lifetime.
Shag
There is no denying…shag is back! Reminiscent of yesteryear, shag rugs are the ultimate comfort under my toes. Not only are they super fun in a variety of colors, but they are also so easy to clean. Plush designs add a layer of texture that can’t be beat!
Natural
Plant based fibers make up rugs known as Sisal, seagrass, jute, and hemp. These rugs are perfect for the coast as they add that casual feel while still cozying up the place. They are easy to care for and come in a variety of colors, weaves and sizes.
Turkish
Loomed in Egypt, this colorful styled rug is durable, yet give the appearance of a fine rug made by hand. This look is all the rage for designers due to the color patterns, detail, and price point.
