It’s time to rework your Halloween decor into an environment with a more autumnal touch. Switching out seasonal decorations on the front porch can be made easy with a few simple steps.

First things first: Remove any spooky décor items—gravestones, skeletons, ghosts, etc. Leave only the general fall decorations such as pumpkins, seasonal foliage, and wreaths. The real star of the show when it comes to your front porch’s transition out of Halloween mode is the pumpkin.

Switch out your jack-o’-lanterns for a variety of pumpkins in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Not only will your plethora of pumpkins generate a fresh fall vibe, but they also offer an assortment of styling ideas that will elevate your front porch.

SEASONAL CURB APPEAL – TIPS & TRICKS

• Find interesting ways to style your pumpkins. You can stack them on planters or baskets, line your front porch steps with them, or utilize any outdoor furniture you have as a display base.

• Picking the perfect pumpkin is half the battle! The stem is part of its personality, and I tend to choose pumpkins with more whimsical stems, adding interest to the gourd’s overall character.

• Don’t be afraid to steer away from the traditional fall color of orange. Incorporating elements of yellow, green, and white into your front porch décor is easy with foliage, pillows, or blankets.

• Start your Halloween wreath with a base of greenery that can be modified for November. If you have a sturdy and minimal base, you can reuse it for each holiday by adding in seasonal elements.
