Dr. Vijay, as he is commonly and affectionately known, is very approachable, and truly enjoys plastic surgery and interacting with his patients. His practice includes both cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries, with an expertise in breast and body rejuvenation/sculpting and facial rejuvenation. He has a special interest in minimally invasive techniques, which include injectables and non-surgical methods, to deliver excellent results at a great value. One of his pioneering techniques involves using modern techniques of pain control that make the post-surgical period much more comfortable. His goal is to deliver excellent results by both meticulous surgical technique and current pain control modalities to minimize the need for pain medications after surgery.

His 10-year experience with trauma surgery in the United States Air Force, including combat situations, has instilled in him a desire to continue to provide compassionate, timely, safe and individualized care. This experience in the United States Air Force showed him how plastic surgery improves form and function, transforming the lives of those he can help. After those 10 years in the United States Air Force, he has continued to serve the community. He is a past president of the Nueces County Medical Society, currently serves as chief of plastic surgery at Christus Spohn and in various capacities in the local community, including as past chairman of the School Health Advisory Committee for Corpus Christi Independent School District.
