Getting into a healthier lifestyle is always a good thing, but it’s not always the easiest thing to get excited about. Sometimes, people need a game changer to truly embrace it. For Jack Farrell, owner of Serfer Brew, a sip of his wife Nargiza’s kombucha did the trick.
The business came about when Farrell was looking to start a new career. Fermenting kombucha for their family and friends is something he’s really passionate about and, luckily for us, he decided to share this passion to a much larger audience. From there, Serfer Brew was born.
With a vision to emulate all the values of a Corpus Christi local brand, they started selling their kombucha at the Corpus Christi Downtown Farmer’s Market in September of 2017. They started using bottles a month after (in an effort to help with the city’s glass recycling, they have a bottle return policy at .75 cents per returned bottle) and have become a staple and a favorite at the different farmer’s markets around the city.
With all our delicious and healthy options in the Coastal Bend, we all know by now that just because it’s good for your body does not mean it’s also not delicious. Serfer Brew makes sure of that. Their kombucha comes in two versions: regular which is made with cane sugar and a combination of green and black tea and Jun kombucha which is made with raw unpasteurized honey and green tea. Some of their current flavors include Pineapple Mango, Pineapple Jalapeno, Blackberry Safe, Raspberry Lemongrass, and Strawberry Lychee Hibiscus.
It’s these awesome flavors, its freshness, and the probiotics’ effectiveness that keeps people coming back for more and sets Serfer Brew kombucha apart.
