In just a few days, BUS will become your one-stop-spot for drinks and food truck eats and The Bend got a sneak peek ahead of its much-anticipated opening.
The hangout destination is industrial shiny chic, a combination that works as well as its variety of seating. You will be able to enjoy cozy indoor tables, relax on the open patio, or even watch games in a shady area with Oktoberfest style seating with tables from Germany.
BUS is not just an acronym, but also a nod to its history as the former Greyhound Bus Station. But the location isn’t the only unique part of BUS. A few of the signature drinks to try include “frozé” (frozen Rosé wine) and a frozen rum and coke.
Bring one of these scrumptious sips – or maybe a classic cocktail or cold brew on tap – and play some of the icehouse style games, from life-size chess to cornhole.
And when you’re ready for a bite to eat, food trucks are just steps away on the patio. The outdoor area also features a large window so you can order at the bar with your four-legged friend by your side, because BUS is very dog friendly. And with all the space, this spot is also family friendly.
Just one look around and it is clear: Bar Under the Sun is the dawn of a new era in Corpus Christi.
BUS is located at 702 N. Chaparral St. Wednesday & Thursday, they run from 11am – 11pm. Friday – Sunday, visit them from 11am – 12am.
