Returning to our bodies’ natural balance wasn’t always easy – until RevIVe Infusion and Wellness offered a new route to alternative healing and the art of feeling good. Improving one’s health through the help of educational consultations, vitamin therapy, and wellness programs, the mission to get us to look and feel our best flows through the veins of the practice.

Unbeknownst to the general public, there are an array of benefits that can be easily obtained from the drip of an IV: RevIVe utilizes their vitamin-based wellness treatments as well as open, honest conversations to educate us on exactly what our bodies need.

“From a wellness perspective, let’s take B12 for instance: B12 is a building block of everyone’s cells. And most of us, in the United States, are semi-deficient in B12,” says Andrea Holly, J.D, R.N, CEO of the operations. With over a decade under her belt in the medical field as a former registered nurse, following this route to wellness has been Holly’s cause behind opening the shop on the island.

“We’re low-energy, not feeling great, and our bodies are having a hard time absorbing it (B12) from processed food sources. So, from an injection standpoint, it’s pure, and it just makes you feel a lot better.” Being able to receive a supplement for something such as B12 (which, like most vitamins, lacks the risk of ever causing an overdose) through a pharmacy or clinic may include the process of assessing blood work, filling prescriptions, etc. With people who are looking to revive, it starts with a simple consultation of: How are you feeling, and how can this help?

IV drips and vitamin injections can become a low-risk way to give your body a direct reload on the tools it needs to fight off certain side effects. RevIVe’s menus include pure vitamin options of B12, Glutathione, Lipo-B, and Vitamin C, that can serve different functions for different problems, and the whole injection process (paired with a light blanket and on-site Netflix) can take from 20 to 45 minutes. The island office even has a kids’ corner to keep your drip time at ease.

The wellness center offers relief to patients who visit in between their outside cancer treatments for high infusions of Vitamin C, which is also a non-overdose vitamin.

“There are really great studies that say using Vitamin C while getting traditional chemotherapy treatments overall improves the patient’s quality of life, and has been shown to reduce tumors,” Holly says. “The end goal is just feeling better.”

The same goes for one of Holly’s patients who suffers from Lyme disease, which comes with symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, etc. Seeing Holly regularly for an infusion of Vitamin C greatly reduces these symptoms and makes day-to-day life easier. Although it isn’t a cure, the benefit of just feeling OK is worth it. Since Vitamin C is a natural immune booster, the purpose of these visits is to help patients’ bodies gather the tools to help themselves.

For hydrating in the dry, Coastal Bend summers, replacing nutrients and electrolytes as quickly as your body uses them is not as easy for residents of South Texas, and feeling run-down can be a side effect. This is where a different blend of vitamins might be able to save your good time – perhaps blends curated by RevIVe, such as the Refresh, Recovery, and Revival packages. Oh, and since it will be the glorious summertime, don’t forget to ask about their hangover-specialized drip blends.
