Yoga and Pilates classes are popping up across the Coastal Bend, inviting movement enthusiasts to roll out their mats at some of the area’s favorite local hot spots. From downward dogs to Pilates pulses, this list is your guide to breaking a sweat outside the traditional environment.

Coastal Glow Club | @coastalglowclub_

Enhanced by the coastal scenery, Pilates classes are more than just a workout with the Coastal Glow Club. Attendees can find their balance through fun, feminine and community-focused movement at The Landing. Welcoming both beginners and seasoned Pilates-goers, each class offers a refreshing way to move, connect and unwind by the coast. Leave feeling restored both physically and mentally after classes every Friday at 6:45 p.m.

Divine Moon Pilates & Yoga | @divinemoonpilatesyoga

No two Divine Moon pop-ups are exactly alike with community classes at multiple locations, blending yoga, Pilates, meditation, sound, music and community in approachable and fun ways for all learners. Hot Yoga & Cold Beer takes over Nueces Brewery every Friday at 6:30 p.m., with an ever-changing mix of movement, while Saturday’s Bubbles & Flow at BUS offers a playful community movement experience outside the traditional studio. October brings even more opportunities to move, including a free sign-up sunset Pilates, yoga and sound healing session at Gill’s Nursery on Oct. 15 and a three-day Surf & Yoga Festival Oct. 16-18.

Lulu Studio | @lulustudio.cc

At Lulu Studio, each pop-up class is designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. This month, instructor Lulu Chavez goes beyond the studio with a Floating Sound Bath, where attendees can float in the water with crystal singing bowls and experience a connection between sound and relaxation. Try a blend of yoga, acupuncture and sound healing at Zaya Yoga on Oct. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m., or unwind with movement, crystal singing bowls and spa services during Restore and Renew at Anthony’s Aveda Salon and Spa, 1-4 p.m. on Oct. 25.

From beginner to advanced, all are welcome. Luma Classes are designed as a form of self-care, and this pop-up will help you reconnect with your body, build strength, improve endurance and increase mobility.

La Dolce Vita Flow | @ladolcevitaflow

Bringing a signature Italian flair to the mat, La Dolce Vita Flow is rooted in Baptiste Power Yoga and all-levels Vinyasa. Expect a balance of energizing, strength-building movement and restorative relaxation. All levels are welcome, with pop-up events announced throughout the year, allowing each class to take on a different venue, theme and energy. The next opportunities to flow are Oct. 3 and Oct. 17 at The Annex.
