It’s officially July Fourth weekend, and grand firework displays are an inherent part of the celebratory festivities ahead. From Corpus Christi Bay to Aransas Bay, here are nine different watch spots we recommend to enjoy the show!
Water’s Edge Park
Watch the Mayor’s Big Bang Fireworks Celebration from Water’s Edge Park complete with food trucks and a kid zone. Get there early to find a spot, enjoy the amenities and watch the fireworks light up the bay starting at 9:30 sharp.
USS Lexington
The flight deck of the USS Lexington just might have the best seat on the bay for watching the Big Big Bang Fireworks Celebration. The price of entry for Red, White & Boom Fireworks Viewing Party includes a seat on the deck with food, beer and wine available for purchase starting at 7 pm.
Neptune’s Charter’s Boat Cruise
Come Aboard the Mustang with Neptune’s Charters for a 4th of July fireworks cruise. Book a 2-hour cruise with the whole family and enjoy the show from the best spot there is.. the water!
Along Aransas Bay
There are lots of spots to enjoy the 58th year of the Wendell Family Fireworks in Rockport. Pull up a chair or picnic blanket along Broadway/Fulton Beach Road, along Highway 35 by Little Bay, along Rockport Beach Park or the Rockport Marina and Sea Wall to watch the approximately 4,500 shells fired in celebration!
The Grandview Lounge
The Grandview Lounge at the top of the Best Western Grand Marina on Shoreline Blvd. is the move if you want to stay inside and avoid the crowds. Watch the starbursts in the sky from the 11th-floor lounge with a cocktail in hand.
Art Center of Corpus Christi
Hang out at the Art Center of Corpus Christi for 4th of July Big Bang Pre-Party & Firework Show Event. Tailgating, food trucks, live music and a VIP watch party await just off the People’s Street T-Head starting at 5 p.m. until the Big Bang Fireworks Celebration at 9:30.
Robert’s Point Park
Enjoy the fireworks in Port Aransas with a celebration at Robert’s Point Park beginning at 4 p.m. Expect popcorn, games, live music and a fireworks show around 9 p.m.
Whataburger Field
The word around town is that the Corpus Christi Hooks have the best post-game fireworks show. Though they’ll have some competition this 4th of July, nothing says “I love America” more than baseball and fireworks, so consider enjoying your 4th of July with the Hooks at Whataburger Field this year.
Indian Point Park
If you prefer to be a little further away from the action, consider watching just across the Harbor Bridge at Indian Point Park, Pavilion and Pier. The renovated pavilion, expansive pier and park provide ample room for a relaxing firework viewing experience right on the bay.
