The Rockport favorite Italian package store has extended its offerings to include a spirits boutique with a variety of spirits, mixers, cocktail accessories and anything else needed to celebrate the art of aperitivo. Hi-Ho Restaurant Re-Opens After a Tragic Fire 

The beloved, Corpus Christi mainstay for Mexican cuisine recently experienced a tragic fire and had to close for repairs. Insomnia Cookies Opens in Corpus Christi 

The late-night, sugar-coma-inducing bakery taking the nation by storm is now open in Corpus Christi! Drop in for a warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven cookie, ice cream sandwich or a cookie cake for a crowd. Tannins Wine Bar & Grill is Coming to the South Side

The wine bar and tapas restaurant you know and love is expanding to the South Side. The new concept will still feature the sangria, wine and beer lists and small bites with expanded offerings to include a more expansive food menu and creative cocktails. It plans to open in early 2024, but in the meantime,  check out the winter sangria and other newly launched seasonal cocktails at the Alameda location. 7629 S. Staples

Bien Merite Is Now Offering Dinner

The French bakery with the infamous flower wall, pink interiors and legendary pastries is extending its reach to dinner. Much like its breakfast and lunch menu, patrons can enjoy classic French fare, including but not limited to salad nicoise, moules marinières, le burger au brie, ratatouille and of course, decadent desserts. Dinner service will be Thursday through Sunday from 6 – 10 p.m. starting Friday, Dec. 1. Reservations are recommended! 1336 S. Staples

El Camino is Officially Opened for Business 

The much-anticipated opening of the newest downtown hotspot, El Camino, is here! The full dining room and menu are still under wraps, but the taco bar and late-nights menu filled with Texmex favorites like chile con queso, quesadillas and a variety of tacos are available now on the Chaparral entrance side of Watestreet Market. Both indoor and outdoor bars are fully operational with $26 pitcher margaritas, agua frescas, signature cocktails and margs.
