Visit Corpus Christi’s new Gulf Coasters program is a chance for locals to be a true Corpus Christi ambassador! Various volunteer roles include the beachfront hype squad, visitor information experts, festival support, and other positions all aimed at promoting local businesses to tourists.
Spotted in cute customized Gulf Carts, Gulf Coasters driving along the beaches of Padre Island and Mustang Island, scout visitors for a chance for them to win prizes and learn how to make the most of their Coastal Bend vacation.
As a Gulf Coaster, you’ll earn exclusive access to city events and attractions, volunteer appreciation events, discounts on merchandise in the Visitor Information Center, and a savings program to area attractions and restaurants.
With various volunteer opportunities, from the Beachfront Hype Squad and the Experience Expert to theExperience Developer or Destination Services Ambassador, folks in these positions will engage with visitors and locals on the beach in or inside the Visitor Info Center at Water Street Market. The Beachfront Hype Squad and Experience Experts will support local tourism with enthusiasm and share local knowledge to help visitors create the best vacation experience.
The Experience Developer team works behind the scenes at the Visitor Info Center in Water Street Market, supporting various administrative projects. While the Destination Services Team supports the frontlines of events and festivals, energizing crowds as they exploring Corpus Christi.
