The biggest week of shopping is here (hello Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday!). This weekend rather than getting caught in the crowds at major retailers, hit the town and support locals by completing your holiday shopping at locally owned small businesses. Not sure where to start? Here’s a quick shopping guide for popular deals and events going on this weekend.
Loca for Local, Curbside
The popular Loca for Local market is going curbside for Small Business Saturday. Visit LocaForLocal.com for this iconic fun online shopping experience. Shop from 18 local vendors online and a chance to win a free event tote bag for the first 50 orders over $35. The pickup curbside event occurs Saturday, November 28, from 11 am – 3 pm at Hoegemeyer’s Barbeque Barn.
Shop Small Crawl
Last year, the first annual Shop Small Crawl event chartered a special bus to tour some of the town’s best local shopping spots. Due to the pandemic, Shop Small Crawl 2020 COVID Edition has partnered with local gems, including Jewels Clothing & Accessories, Wildflowers, Pilar, Made In Corpus Christi, and 20/20 Vintage. Stop by any of these stores and pick up a punch card for the self-guided crawl. Earn a punch with a purchase from each store and be entered to win a beautiful gift basket filled with goodies from every store!

Joining dozens of small and independent craft breweries and retailers is our very own Rebel Toad Brewing Co. On Saturday from 4 pm–11 pm, celebrate local and #SaveTexasBreweries by purchasing a limited-edition glass designed by Carra Sykes. Meadowbrook Plaza Market
Local group Third Coast Creatives will be hosting a Shop Small Saturday event in the Meadowbrook Plaza. You’ll be able to shop over 15 different local vendors at this outdoor pop-up market. Stop by this Saturday from 2 to 7 PM and get shopping!
