The arrival of pumpkin patches is a sure sign of the seasons changing. From wandering through the rows to find the perfect choice and taking family photos to carving jack-o-lanterns and roasting the seeds, nothing says fall quite like pumpkins. With a variety of options to choose from, here are six pumpkin patches in Corpus Christi to check out between now and Halloween.

Asbury United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

Bring the family to take photos at Asbury UMC’s picture-perfect pumpkin patch. This annual pumpkin patch features thousands of pumpkins to create the best photo-op backgrounds.  After your photoshoot, pick your favorites and bring them home for a carving party! The patch is now open every Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to dark, Saturday from 9 a.m. to dark and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to dark. Plus, the patch will host storytime events at 10 a.m. on Oct. 11, 18 and 25, and Family Fun Nights at 6 p.m. on Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27.  7501 S. Staples St. 

Portland First United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

Opening Oct. 8,  Portland’s First United Methodist Church’s annual pumpkin patch offers special event programming all month long. The patch offers a wide range of various-sized pumpkins and gourds, along with photoshoot opportunities and activities for the kids. Make sure to check out the website for weekly events, such as the Pet Picture Day on Oct. 14 and the Great Pumpkin Movie Night on Oct. 20. The pumpkin patch is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 7 p.m., and will remain open until Halloween. Admission to the patch is free and proceeds of pumpkin purchases benefit the Build-A-Home Ministry. 4545 Wildcat Dr.

Rockin’ K Farms Pumpkin Patch & Fall Festival

Looking for the perfect pumpkin photo op? Rockin’ K Farms has you covered with a pumpkin barn and house! Open through Nov. 5, every Saturday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday until 5 p.m., these fall fields feature everything from train rides and corn mazes to campfires and pumpkin smashing. Check the farm’s social media pages before heading out, as the weather might affect its operating hours. 5385 County Road 52

Grace United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

Grab your pumpkins before they’re gone at the Grace UMC Pumpkin Patch. Pumpkins arrive Oct. 15 and the church is seeking volunteers to help unload the goods! The patch, which always has a great selection of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, will be open from Oct. 16 through Oct. 31 with the hours of 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. You can even schedule a special storytime in the patch for the kiddos by emailing ahead of time14521 Northwest Blvd.

St. Peter’s by the Sea Pumpkin Patch

Head over to St. Peter’s by the Sea’s Pumpkin Patch filled with a pumpkin for everyone starting Oct. 8. With pumpkins starting at just $1, there are plenty of options to choose from. They even have mini pumpkins perfect for gifting to teachers, bosses and friends. The patch is open until October 31 every day of the week from noon to 7 p.m. 1541 Waldron Rd.

St. John’s United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

Starting Oct. 8 through Oct. 31, the St. John’s UMC Pumpkin Patch will be open every Sunday through Friday from 12:30 until dark and Saturday 10 a.m. until dark. Mark your calendar for a family movie night in the patch at 6:30 p.m. on Oct 20 and the Trunk-or-Treat event from 5 – 7 p.m. on Oct. 29. 5300 S Alameda St.
