“I had been working the same job for nine years, and I quit working. And the girl I had been dating for two years, we had just broken up. And I had a lot of free time. So I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and do something new. I’m usually a homebody. And I was like, no. I’m going to do something way out of my zone. I read about this, and started studying a little bit more, and decided to do this pilgrimage and walk 500 miles. So I did. Spain was my favorite. It’s a beautiful country. I spent a month and a half there, walking from the Pyrenees in France to the Atlantic Ocean.”
