As CEO brof Physicians PremiER, her scope brincludes nine freestanding emergency brdepartments—five locations in Corpus brChristi, three in San Antonio and one brin Bryan—and four urgent care clinics brthroughout South Texas.

She has spent the majority of her brcareer in senior leadership roles in large brhealthcare systems, as well as in some brentrepreneur startups and privately browned physician ventures. When she isn’t making impacts brin our community, she is enjoying brthe community. “I love boating with brmy husband, soaking up the sun and brwalking the National Seashore,” said brCardenas. “I recently had outstanding brjob offers to move to Florida—and I brsimply didn’t want to leave Corpus. brThis is my desired forever home.” When brasked what she would tell someone brwho’s considering moving to the Coastal brBend, she simply replies, “Do it.”br
