Chanel 75 cocktails, Parisian bites, and CoCo Chanelbrinspired looks—can you think of a better Saturday? Twice a year, every year, JulianbrGold puts on a runway show to showcase some of their favorite pieces in thebrshop and this year, they are going bigger and better.
brbr
Previously known as the “Hip Event”, this year, the showbraims to reach a wider array of people and allow the show to be both bigger andbrmore fun for everyone! “We [used to call it] the ‘Hip Event’ because thebrclothing the models wear come from our contemporary department, which is ourbryounger, more ‘hip’ department,” says Alexa Gignac, Stylist and Assistant StorebrDirector. She goes on to explain that changing the name of the event to “RougebrRunway” has allowed them to let their audience know this show isn’t like theirbrtypical runways.

The show acquired its theme by pulling inspiration frombrJulian Gold’s fabulous Store Director, Kari Morrison. The store wanted to honorbrKari and all she has done as she will retire after 38 years with Julian Gold. Thebrfinal scene in the show will pay special homage to Kari.

So, why Coco Chanel you ask? Kari’s four grandchildren callbrher Coco. However, not only do they refer to her by the name, but the storebrlikes to think of her as their own modern-day Coco. “She is the face of JulianbrGold – Corpus Christi,” says Alexa, “If you have ever seen her, you know she isbralways so beautiful and chic. She has a classic, elegant style.” She paints usbra more vivid picture as she describes Kari’s favorite colors to wear beingbrblack, white, pink, newly, and marigold, and her favorite accessories beingbrpearls, pearls, and more pearls.

The Rouge Runway, totaling 43 different looks, will featurebrthree separate scenes within the central theme of Coco Chanel—a multi-coloredbrscene, florals, and all black and white. Aside from the runway, the event willbrfeature drinks, snacks, a live DJ, and a special in-store discount to thosebrattending. The show will be held at Julian Gold – Corpus Christi, located inbrLamar Park, from 12 to 2 PM, this Saturday, April 21st. This is onebrevent you are not going to want to miss!
