It’s officially fall, y’all. This means festival season is upon us! Every week this season brings a slew of festive events and fun for the whole family. So, to help you and your planner, we’re providing a robust list of fall festivals around the Coastal Bend to mark on your calendar.
47th Annual Rockport Fulton Seafair | October 7-9
Get rockin’ in Rockport-Fulton for the 47th Annual Rockport-Fulton Seafair from October 7-9. The Rockport-Fulton Seafair is a 3-day sea-themed festival featuring live entertainment, art, market vendors, a Gumbo cook-off, crab races, water activities, a boat and car show, cardboard boat races and more. Tickets start at just $10.
PRIDE Corpus Christi’s Pride Parade & Block Party | October 8
PRIDE Corpus Christi’s Pride Parade is a community-driven celebration of LGBTQIA+ diversity! The parade will kick off at the Art Center of Corpus Christi northbound on Shoreline Blvd. on Saturday, October 8 at 11:30 a.m. and will continue on a mile-and-a-half route with over 500 participants across 38+ organizations. The celebration continues at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History with the Block Party event featuring vendors, food trucks, presentations and more.
Peoples St. Music & Film Festival | October 7-9
In its inaugural year, the People’s Street Music & Film Festival aims to celebrate the variety of talent South Texas creatives have to offer. From October 7-9, this free, community event will take over Peoples Street with live music performances, DJ sets, film screenings, vendors, food trucks and more.
Sea Turtle Festival | October 8
Join the Texas Sealife Center for a day full of vendors, activities, live music and great food to celebrate and support our local wildlife at the Sea Turtle Festival on October 8 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Briscoe King Pavillion.
Corpus Christi Vegfest | October 8
Corpus Christi Vegfest kicks off at Heritage Park on October 8 at 10 a.m. This year’s festival features new vendors, guest speakers, music, free food samples and more.
61st Annual Texas Jazz Festival | October 14 – 16
The 61st Annual Texas Jazz Festival returns as the longest, free-running festival beginning October 14 through October 16 at Heritage Park. Check out four stages of live jazz, delicious eats and market vendors.
Surftoberfest | October 22
Don’t miss Surftoberfest at Water Street Market on Saturday, October 22, from noon to 10 p.m. The annual event features live music, food, a stein-holding and costume contest, arts and crafts and plenty of beer.
2022 Wooden Boat Festival | October 21-23
This annual three-day family-friendly event features handcrafted kayaks, paddleboards, skiffs and sailing boats — as well as historic Farley boats. This year’s festival takes place October 21 through 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. One unique tradition of the festival is the Family Boat Build. Every year, four families begin building a boat at the festival start and launch it complete at the end.
3rd Annual South Texas Food Truck Festival | October 22
With a goal of celebrating South Texas and its variety of foods, the 3rd Annual South Texas Food Truck Festival takes place on October 22 from noon to midnight at Whataburger Field. Over 50 food trucks will fill the parking. Attendees can also enjoy live music, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, face painting and plenty of kid activities at the Kid’s Field Zone. Admission is free and open to the public.
15th Annual Dia de Los Muertos Festival | October 29
Celebrate the rich Mexican roots of South Texas at the 15th Annual Dia de Los Muertos festival on Saturday, October 29, in the heart of downtown Corpus Christi. Enjoy traditional and contemporary dance, live music across several stages, art exhibitions, community ofrendas, vendors, food and so much more.
Fulton Fall Festival | October 29
The annual Fulton Fall Festival is fun for the whole family! The event includes a costume parade and contest, food, games, live music, market booths, Trunk-or-Treat and much more. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. on October 29 and is free to the public. Participants wanting to register for the costume contest or the parade will need to do so by 9:45 a.m. the day of the event. Awards will be given for the spookiest and most creative costume.
37th Annual Jewish Food Festival | November 12
Save the date for the 37th Annual Jewish Food Festival on Saturday, November 12, from 5-9 p.m. Indulge in Jewish cuisine, from homemade brisket and cabbage rolls to delicious matzah ball soup, rugelach and more.
Corpus Christi Wine Festival | November 19
The annual Corpus Christi Wine Festival wraps up the Coastal Bend fall festival season on Saturday, November 19, from 3 p.m. to midnight at Heritage Park, featuring live music, food trucks, shopping, art and over 100 varieties of wine. General admission is $25.
STUFF Film Festival 10th Edition | November 30-December 4
The South Texas Underground Film Festival turns 10 this year! Celebrate the regional filmmaking scene with five days of special screenings and premieres at Alamo Dratfhouse Corpus Christi. Ticketing information for the film festival will be posted soon.
