Coral Bean Cafe just might be your new favorite brunch spot! That’s right; Coral Bean Cafe is unveiling a new brunch menu in 2022. The cafe has been working on this new phase of their business for some time, and now the menu expansion will in part help to support Coastal Bend youth in foster care. A portion of proceeds from special menu preview tasting events will benefit organizations providing resources to foster care youth.
After participating in a coffee sleeve campaign promoting November as National Adoption Month, Coral Bean Café owner Curt Flowers decided to utilize his coffee shop to be an ongoing source of support for Coastal Bend youth in foster care. While plans are underway to introduce the new brunch menu to the community as a whole in early 2022, several tasting events are already planned to help decide the items offered. Flowers has invited a group of youth in foster care to play a role in deciding the final dishes, and Coral Bean Cafe loyalty program members will receive invitations to additional tasting events.
Partnerships with CASA of the Coastal Bend, Agape Ranch, and Agape Harbor fulfill the cafe’s initiative to create opportunities for youth in foster care to thrive while feeling nurtured from this community.
“Feeling connected to others truly invested in their well-being is crucial for children in the child welfare system,” said CASA of the Coastal Bend Marketing & Recruitment Manager Samantha Stemplinger. “Curt has a beautiful vision of Coral Bean Café as a hub of opportunities for patrons and neighbors to help lift our youth in crisis. CASA of the Coastal Bend is grateful to be included in making his vision a reality.”
