As Coastal Bend natives, we know just how important it is to keep our beautiful beaches clean and litter-free. Beachcoming festivals around the coasts have always taken place as a way to spread knowledge and awareness on keeping our beaches and waters clean and highlight local vendors with values centered in the concept of sustainability and the environment.

With events around the world being canceled, postponed, or reworked, Beachcoming Magazine has taken their annual festival to the internet

This year’s event, which will take place June 20th, 2020, will feature all the aspects of their normal festival, just in a virtual way. One local botanist artist, Emily McCauley of Green Sea Designs, will be participating in the virtual event, alongside over 100 other vendors and experts, featuring talks and products from world-renowned beach collectors happening all day on the 20th.

An ocean-lover her whole life, McCauley developed a love for marine plants and now views the sea not as a sea of blue like many do, but as a sea of green.
What started as a simple lab requirement for a marine biology graduate degree has turned into a passion for art showcasing the beauty of Texas coastal waters and the importance of aquatic ecosystems everywhere.

Green Sea Designs is offering 15% off all orders on her website and is also releasing her new “Together” collection of prints.  This collection, inspired by spending time with loved ones and coexisting peacefully, features mixed local marine algae species beautifully paired together.
