The Buc Days Parade is one of our favorite parts about thebrsummer time. The whole community gathers together to celebrate culture and allbrthings Coastal Bend. However, this year, you might recognize a couple changes.
brbr
The organization announced they will be switching up thebrroute for this year’s Buc Days Navy Army Night Parade! Due to the progress andbrconstruction of the new Harbor Bridge, the parade will now start at thebrAmerican Bank Center, and complete a 2.5 mile route at Bufford Street!
brbr
The route will travel South down Chaparral to Schazell, turnbrWest on Schatzell Street, up the bluff and continue West on Leopard Street tobrN. Staples St. Another turn will bebrtaken at N. Staples St., and then head South on N. Staples St. to ultimately endbron Buford.
brbr
The parade, a tradition since 1938, draws in an estimatedbr145,000 street spectators each year – all gathered together to view the beautifulbrfloats, bands, horses, and tons of other community and local participants.
brbr
Even with a change of route, there is no doubt this year’sbrparade will be as beautiful and exciting as ever. We can’t wait to see whatbrthey have in store!
