Not that making resolutions in the new year is a must (some even find it rather silly), but if reading a little bit more than usual is something you’re setting your sights on this year, we’ve got just the thing for you. Joining a book club is a great way to stay on track when it comes to expanding your literature intake and also serves as a vessel to stay connected, expand your socialbrcircle. Stacie Richline atbrWaterdog Floating Yoga is bringing new adventure through reading in 2020 withbrher new Water Dog Book Club, where she aims to bring together the local community;bryogis; book (and wine); lovers.

“As for merging a book club with Water Dog: First of all, I am a bookbrworm and I loved the idea of merging my two passions of reading and yoga,”brStacie says with excitement. “I saw it as a way of providing more of a sense ofbrcommunity for our yogis and friends. Along with another way to bring usbrtogether outside of a regular yoga class, where we don’t always have time tobrchat and get to know each other.” Uhm, yeah, count us in!

Intended to be light-hearted and fun, Water Dog Book Club goes throughbra set of discussion questions that allow for a productive and enjoyablebrconversation about the book. The club will  be a communal  way for members to enjoy a common interest and each other’s company, amongst literature, brsnacks and wine.

“I am hoping the members lead and guide the direction of the bookbrclub and our future book selections.”

The first meeting takes place Sunday, January 12, at 6:15 pm atbrMesquite Street Studio. This month’s book pick is Love with a Chance ofbrDrowning by Torre Deroche, a love story and fast-paced travel memoir thatbrtakes place on a sailboat. The club plans to meet every other month to allowbrplenty of time to read the monthly pick. If you’re interested in joining andbrwould like to be added to the group, send a message to @waterdog.cc on Facebook.
