Whitecap Holiday Lights
December 3
Celebrate the season island-style at Whitecap Holiday Lights, where bright lights and Gulf breezes set the tone for a coastal evening. Enjoy visits with Santa, face painting and a charming snow-globe photo spot, plus performances by Seashore Charter School carolers and a local dance academy. Warm up with complimentary Island Joe’s hot cocoa and soak in the small-town holiday magic that makes the island community so special.

Rockport Tropical Christmas Festival
December 5 – 6
Rockport’s Tropical Christmas Festival brings coastal cheer to the holiday season with two days of festive fun. On Friday, the celebration begins at Rockport Beach Park with the Illuminated Night Parade, the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree and a glowing LED Night Kite Display by the Surfside Flyers Kite Club, all capped off with fireworks sparkling over the harbor. The merriment continues Saturday at the Rockport Festival Grounds with children’s activities, live entertainment, local vendors, food trucks and appearances from Santa, Mrs. Claus and The Grinch.

Holidays on the Harbor
December 6
Downtown Corpus Christi’s biggest holiday celebration returns with the annual tree lighting and Port of Corpus Christi Illuminated Boat Parade. The 66-foot H-E-B Christmas Tree lights up Water’s Edge Park at 5:30 p.m., officially kicking off the season. Afterward, head to the seawall at 7 p.m. to watch boats decked in dazzling lights glide through the marina. With music, food trucks and a festive waterfront atmosphere, it’s the perfect start to the holidays.
La Posada Lighted Boat Parade
December 12 – 13
Experience a Coastal Bend classic with two nights of holiday lights on Padre Island. La Posada Boat Parade features dozens of vessels gliding along the Intracoastal Waterway, each decorated to the nines. While you watch, the U.S. Marines collect new, unwrapped toys for local families. Grab dinner at Doc’s Seafood & Steaks or Snoopy’s Pier and enjoy the show from some of the best waterfront seats in town.
Port Aransas Lighted Boat Parade & Holiday Drone Show
December 13
Head to Port Aransas for an evening of lights and color as the harbor comes alive with illuminated boats and a high-flying drone show. Dozens of boats shimmer with Christmas spirit as they sail past spectators along the waterfront. The new addition of a synchronized drone show lights up the night sky for a modern twist on a beloved holiday tradition.

Holly-Days in the Garden
December 5-6, 12-13 & 19-20
The South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center transforms into a magical winter wonderland with Holly-Days at the Gardens. Stop by every weekend until Christmas for a 20-foot fresh cut Christmas tree with lights, an 18-foot recycled eco Christmas tree and four smaller versions made of recycled plastic bottles created by local artist Sheila Rogers, light displays, Santa photo-ops, hayrides and more.
Pictures with Santa at La Palmera Mall
Open until December 24
La Palmera Mall makes it easy to capture a picture-perfect moment with Santa. He’s available throughout November and December during mall hours, and while walk-ups are welcome, reservations are recommended to skip the line. Capture a classic moment and enjoy a little shopping before or after your visit.
Holiday Market on Peppermint Lane
Sundays in December, 2-7 p.m.
Find something special for everyone on your list at the Holiday Market on Peppermint Lane. Held every Sunday in December at BUS, this festive market features local artisans, handmade gifts, vintage finds and sweet treats. Between shopping and sipping, soak in the glow of Chaparral Street’s lights and enjoy live entertainment from downtown performers.
Breakfast with Santa
December 13
Start your day on Dec. 13 with holiday cheer at the Portland Community Center’s annual pancake breakfast with Santa. Families can enjoy a hearty breakfast, make holiday crafts and take photos with the jolly visitor from the North Pole.

AMST’S Christmas Tree Forest
December through January 4
Experience one of Corpus Christi’s most cherished traditions at the Art Museum of South Texas. The Christmas Tree Forest features trees decorated by local students, each inspired by a classic children’s book. The museum also hosts a Free Family Fun Day in December, filled with art activities and holiday cheer. The exhibit continues through January 4, and at the end of the season, all trees and decorations are donated to families.
Christmas on the Coast 2025
All Month Long
Celebrate the season all month long in Portland, where Christmas on the Coast brings a full lineup of family-friendly events. The festivities include ice skating at the City Complex, holiday movie nights, concerts, parades and photos with Santa. Visitors can also enjoy local markets and community gatherings throughout December. It’s the kind of small-town holiday experience that captures the magic of the season. Plus, Christmas on the Coast offers an ice-skating rink with real ice, open from Dec. 7 through Jan. 4.

The Hilliard Center’s Coastal Christmas 2025

The Hilliard Center’s Coastal Christmas is back, offering indoor ice skating and festive fun for the whole family. In addition to regular and sensory-friendly skate sessions, visitors can enjoy family photo opportunities, meet special holiday characters and indulge in holiday refreshments.
