1. No more than three writing samples.
2. A résumé of your experience as a writer or editor.
3. A single, well-written story proposal that lays out the angle of your story, shows that you’ve done enough research to know what you’re talking about, identifies sources with whom you might speak, and aptly demonstrates your writing style.
