With The Great Local Photography Contest, The Bend wants to recognize and showcase the work of our area’s outstanding photographers. Submit your work in one of our 14 categories, along with a short description including when it was captured, what equipment you used, etc.
Our panel of judges, consisting of local educators, artists and art gallery professionals, will select the winning image in each category. The Bend’s editorial team will also select up to 10 additional images to be considered for a “Readers Choice” selection, which will be hosted on our Instagram page. The winner in each category will be featured in our February 2024 issue, with one photo serving as the cover.
We want to celebrate the incredible work of photographers in our area, so we ask that only photographers residing in the Coastal Bend submit their work for nomination and have their shots taken in the region. Photographers may submit work in a maximum of three (3) categories and must limit the number of entries to one (1) photo per category.
