LiftFund Launches Monthly Webinar Series To Elevate The Voices Of Small Businesses Navigating Today’s Challenges
Help for your small business
This summer, LiftFund, a community micro and small business lender, is spearheading a statewide virtual series that focuses on small businesses navigating this year’s unprecedented challenges, the opportunities and threats they face, the reopening of businesses, and the support available to help them survive. The series will feature the voices of small business owners, complemented by timely, relevant data.
The July conversation will be moderated by journalist Michael Taylor interviewing three minority women entrepreneurs from Texas, including Pilar Gonzalez, owner of DipIt by Pilar from the Rio Grande Valley; Sakara Ross, owner of SNR Construction from Houston; and Michelle Matta, owner of A Turtle Loves Me from North Texas, and LiftFund President & CEO Janie Barrera.
LiftFund understands these are trying times for small business owners, and has been responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by working closely with small business owners across Texas and the other 12 states it serves. Its staff worked tirelessly to meet the incredible demand for relief support and funding. Since March 2020, LiftFund has provided over $30.8 million in relief loans, including the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), to over 1,200 small businesses and their families. This year, LiftFund moved all of its educational and technical assistance programs online, and provided hundreds of guidance and business support hours to small business owners making critical decisions.
