PTAC: The Department of Transportation's DBE Program

Del Mar College Teleconference: DBE Program

The DOT’s DBE [Disadvantaged Business Enterprise] program provides certain business owners with a marketing tool to increase participation of minorities and women in State and Local contract opportunities. Attend this seminar to explore the potential of doing business with the CCRTA and the Department of Transportation. Experts from the Del Mar College Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) will review DBE eligibility and provide practical assistance in getting your applications started. Federal regulations require that state and local transportation agencies receiving Department of Transportation funds establish a DBE program and set goals for participation by DBE certified businesses. If you are a small business owner who feels your firm is qualified for DBE certification, or would like to participate in the Harbor Bridge Project, it makes good business sense to explore this seminar.

Learning Objectives:

* What is the DBE Program?

* Who is eligible?

* What are the requirements?

* How do I apply?

* What do I do with my application?

* Where can I go for assistance?
