Downtown Corpus Christi is the place to be for this year’s 4th of July! Not only will there be a massive fireworks show late into the evening (with quite possibly the best view), but also live music, games, and delicious food from local venders throughout the city. Here are just a few of the events going on from early morning and on into the night!

Big Bang Celebration

Once again, the Mayor is hosting a massive party for 5 consecutive days! Everything from parades, beach parties, and art vendors to delicious food trucks, games, and fireworks, this is the must-attend celebration at Waters Edge Park. The Botanical Gardens of South Texas are also showing up at Shoreline to host a reptile and bird show for anyone, starting at 3 pm. Once 9:30 hits, the real show begins with colorful fireworks lighting up the night sky. 602 S ShorelineBlvd

Fajitaville Paddle Out

Today, this local hotspot will be celebrating our military members with a big paddle out event. Anyone can join! All you need to do is bring your longboard, shortboards, and kayaks. They will even provide a unique t-shirt for all of those who participate in the event! Just show up at Fajitaville starting at 9 am, 221 S Hotel PL

A Thursday Evening Baseball Game!

Our Corpus Christi Hooks will be up against the Midland RockHounds today. The gates open at 4:45 pm and the first pitch will begin at 6:15 pm at the Whataburger Field. There will even be a fireworks show after the game, so make sure to get your tickets and celebrate the day with one of America’s favorite pastimes! Buy seats at mpv.tickets.com

Mudfest

South Texas Speedway is celebrating the next few days, starting at 3 pm today to support the David DeLay Scholarship Fund. Anyone can join in on the fun with contests, food, and drinks! You can check out the South Texas Speedways Facebook page for more information on the show.

Harbor Bridge Light Show

Make sure you’re listening to 95.5FM while having a few cold ones with the family and watch the bridge come alive to music at 9 pm. The Harbor Bridge has always been a major statement to the life we live here in the Coastal Bend and we love to show it off any chance we can get!

Red, White & Boom Fireworks Viewing

The USS Lexington will be hosting a fireworks viewing from the Flight Deck starting at 7 pm. This is a beautiful spot for anyone who wants to watch all the fireworks go off across the Corpus Christi skyline. Just make sure to get tickets through their website!

Bar Happenings

The Gold Fish will be celebrating the night right with jazz! They have hosted many nights dedicated to wine and tequila tastings, live music showings, and Cuban dancing so they truly know how to party. Find them at 724 N Mesquite

Executive Surf Club is hosting a night with The Odd Fellas with drink specials starting around at 8 pm. They will be providing new, limited time only drinks just for  Fourth of July celebrations - not to mention they have $2 Wells. 309 N Chaparral St.
