Brigitte Foret’s Go-To Beauty Products

By: Brigitte Foret Photos By: Rachel Benavides

I am definitely my mother’s daughter. Growing up, my mom taught me taking care of my skin and teeth was the most important thing I can do for myself. The concept of self- care was taught to me at a very young age and I carry that same philosophy today. It is the one thing we all can do for our self that really does not have to cost you a whole bunch of money.

Today, I come to you as a women over 55 and what society calls an empty nester – I hate that term because there is nothing empty about it. I love fashion, skin care, and personal growth, and that is what I dove head first into the last few years. I also love fabric and designing clothes. I am a fashion blogger and love to help women my age to be there very best they can be. I love teaching my followers all my tricks of the trade and how they too can be there very best version of themselves. We were all born with unique qualities. It’s my job to help you find them and help educate you based off what I have learned.

Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm

I am in love with this cleaning balm for my face and neck. It melts away all of your makeup, impurities, and the days dirt leaving your skin soft, clean, and not overly dry like some facial cleaners do. $65

Colleen Rothschild Matcha Tea Treatment Toner

One thing I have learned over the years is how important it is to have a toner. It balances your skins’ pH levels. Using a good toner helps eliminate the dreadful T zone. You know when your forehead, nose and chin get shinny but the rest of your skin stays balanced. Using a good toner eliminates that problem. $32

Esarora Ice Roller

It is exactly what it says it is. An ice roller. After cleaning my face and applying my toner I roll this all over my face and neck very slowly, paying special attention to my eye area. I use this ice roller to reduce inflammation in my face and eyes. I also use this to close my pores. And lastly, the ice roller tightens your skin and makes a perfect pallet to apply your moisturizer.

Skin Ceuticals: HA Intensifier

Hyaluronic Acid. There are so many benefits to this lil’ gem, but don’t worry, I won’t go into all of them. Our bodies make Hyaluronic Acid, but as we age, that process slows down. Hyaluronic Acid plumps the skin by naturally holding onto water one thousand times its water weight therefor creating moisture on our face. I also use this around my eyes. I have seen a noticeable improvement to my dry eye as well as wrinkles around my eyes after using this! $99

Colleen Rothschild Vitamin C Treatment Complex

This is my favorite serum and I’ve been using it on my face for over 10 years now.Vitamin C serum is healing. It protects your skin from environmental aggressors, helps reduce hyperpigmentation, and encourages cell turnover. $65

Colleen Rothschild Compete Eye Cream

Moisturizing your eyes is super important. The skin around your eyes is so delicate. Keeping them moisturized will aid in helping to keep wrinkles at bay, dark circles from appearing, and restoring elasticity. $65

Colleen Rothschild Sheer Renewal Cream

I love this facial cream. For our humid climate, this cream is golden. It provides weightless hydration and promotes the new cell turnover. It helps to minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles. And, its powder finish leaves your skin with a light breathable barrier that offers a broad environmental defense. I also use this product as a primer before my makeup! $55

Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Night Oil

Everyone needs to have some type of Retinal in their skin routine. This is a game changer. It is a plant based oil which moisturizers your skin, improves texture, and helps promote collagen growth. I once asked my dermatologist, if I only had one skin care serum which one would benefit me more, and Retinol was the answer. $85

Ancient Healing Clay Facial Mask

My daughter-in-law shared this gem with me and I have been using it nonstop since. In fact, I don’t use any other clay mask. It has cleaned out my pores and tighten them, as well as tighten my skin and healed any blemishes. It has lightened any dark scaring as well red acne scars. It has improved my skin texture all while adding moisture. It has also balanced out the oils leaving your skin uncongested. I mix the clay with concentrate green tea and steep it in rose water, then mix all of this together to form a paste. Another great one is mixing apple cider vinegar with the clay powder. If you’re having bad breakouts, this is the formula you’ll want to use.

Image Skincare Facial Exfoliating Cream

It clearly states on the tube that this is a resurfacing masque and it does not disappoint. When I want to scrub the day off my face. this granular mask gets the job done. I usually do this scrub twice or three times a week , followed by a moisture blast of the Colleen Rothschild Retinol Night Oil. When I wake in the morning, my skin is filled with moisture, smooth, and glowing. $35

Back Brushing My Skin

I have been doing this for many, many years. Once while on vacation, I went in for a body scrub and this is what the tech used. Ever since, I have been back brushing my whole body. This is a great way to exfoliate before getting your spay tans for the summer season!
