The class is open those 18 years and older. The event is BYOB, including beer or wine to participants 21 and older.
"This will be a special event because Painting with a Twist usually holds these paint and sip parties at their location. However, this event, will be here [at the gardens] amongst the parrots while guests are able to paint their tropical scene, shares Mary Jane Krull, Director of Marketing.
Arrive early and interact with tortoises of all shapes and sizes with Tortoise Tales at 10:30am. Tour the gardens and stick around for Parrot Talk at 1:30 pm to take photos and talk with parrots. Non-members will receive a reduced $5 admission that day at Visitor's Center check-in.
The Parrot Hut renovation includes the large "hoop" greenhouse, enclosed for the weather, with a stage and concrete floors for stability and easy clean-up. "We are excited to get started on the Parrot Hut," exclaims Mary Jane. "This event will kick-off fundraising for this structure and it will be a very nice addition to the gardens, and a better environment for animal interactions with the visitors.
