For the seventh year in a row, Contemporary Art Month Corpus Christi (CAMCC) celebrates and promotes contemporary art and artists in the Coastal Bend Area. The idea came from San Antonio’s Contemporary Art Month. K Space Contemporary was inspired by the idea and decided to bring it to Corpus Christi in 2013. The goal? To put local art in public places and remind people how important it is to both our culture and identity.

For the entire month of March, CAMCC hosts tons of events all over the city which feature art exhibitions and receptions in galleries, local businesses, public places, and at art education programs, happenings, and performances.

“By placing artwork in area businesses and public place, we draw attention to the exceptional artists in our community,” a representative said. “This helps forge new relationships between artists and businesses, highlight businesses that support the arts, and makes one’s usual stops around town a bit more interesting!”
