With big hopes and small shops, finding unique gifts for the holiday season is what gets us so excited about Shop Small Saturday. On November 24th, the world of local shopping opens its doors with different collaborative events around town. Grab your shopping bag and a buddy for this shop-hopping holiday, for the love of everything local.
Coffee Waves’ Sip, Sit, Shop. Starting at 10 AM, you can shop through 15 local vendors while sipping a piping latte. The popular coffee shop is also pairing up with the Coastal Bend Food Bank and collecting non-perishable items for the holiday season.
Wildflowers will be basking in the local shopping baskets in their Shop Small Saturday event at their location on the southside. While you’re doing your shopping, they’ll be serving up apple-cider mimosas and a smorgasbord of Fed by Bread granola. Oh, they’ll even do your gift wrapping for you! Pop in from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Small Business Saturday at the Southside Farmers Market will be open, rain or shine, from 9 AM to 12 PM. Local farmers and artisan food makers will be vending that perfect gift for the food lover in your life or a special ingredient to your holiday dinners. Make sure to bring your reusable shopping bags and baskets!
The Portland Chamber of Commerce is hosting their #SHOPSMALL Saturday with complementary shopping bags, refreshments, and door prizes / giveaways. For the early birds across the Harbor Bridge, their event runs from 8:30 AM to noon.
The Loca for Local! Pop up at BUS is hosting 26 different local vendors including host Sew Bonita in their kid and dog friendly event. From 12 PM to 6 PM, your shopping experience combines with food trucks, live DJ, and a huge giveaway.
In the spirit of Shop Small Saturday, supporting local vendors is bound to be an adventure. Best to keep your Saturday clear and your belongings light for a hunt around town benefiting your holiday gift list!
