An extensive, luxurious wine-tasting selection works well with a glorious food truck selection, and boy do they make a good pair. Over 75 varieties of wine, along with some visiting Texas wineries, are teaming up for the ultimate glass experience.

The third annual Corpus Christi food and wine festival is happening this weekend, and we’re getting our palettes ready. Saturday’s event goes from noon until 11 P.M., appropriately, since the perfect time for wine lasts all day.

For the best of both worlds, local craft favorites will be present when the mood arises for beer. Brewery favorites from Lazy Beach Brewing, Lorelei Brewing Co., and Rebel Toad Brewery will be there to refresh your palette every now and then.

Upon sipping, guests are able to purchase a full glass of whatever taste resonated best — or better yet, with a wine list order form, you can purchase bottles of your favorites or pick up bottles from Texas Wineries on-site at the festival for off-site consumption. Most of the wines available at the festival aren’t available in the Corpus Christi market, which makes it bittersweet.

Shopping booths will offer anything from jewelry to home decor, and the center of Heritage Park will be alive with live music. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy local music. Coats are suggested for the weather, but red wines do well at warming up, too (seriously, though, you should bring a coat).

A toast for a cause: this years charities to be sipping for include GROW Local CC, the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, the National Hispanic Institute-Greater CC, and New Life Refuge. Volunteers and wineries alike will be contributing to these non-profits with the help of wine-loving attendees.

Tickets include a wine tasting starter pack: an official wine fest tasting glass, an official wine fest tote bag to assist you in shopping, and tasting tickets for wine and beer. There’s also ticket options for a starter plus package and a VIP package.

You can get your tickets, along with more info about the festival here. Saturday, the end of the work week, is the perfect time to wine down. Who was ever having a bad day with a glass of wine in their hand?
