Still searching for the perfect Mother’s Day outing? There is plenty to do around town. From Sunday Funday brunch to breaking a sweat with mom, the Coastal Bend has something for every type of mama out there. Here are six unique ideas that are sure to put a smile on her face. 1. The Tex-Mex Slow Cooker Book Signing
Why not celebrate mom a little early this year? This Friday author Vianney Rodriguez will be hosting a book signing of her latest cookbook, The Tex-Mex Slow Cooker: 100 Delicious Recipes for Easy Everyday Meals, at Half Price Books. This is a great event to bond over a love for cooking (and eating) or you can grab a one of a kind, signed copy of this cookbook to gift to your mom on Sunday.

2. Mother’s Day Paddle & Mimosas
Water Dog Floating Yoga will host a special Mother’s Day paddle session around the marina and inside protected waters of the bay. The class begins with a discussion about the boards, paddling techniques, and water safety, and it is friendly for all levels. The best part? Each Mother and Daughter will receive a complimentary mimosa! Register ahead of time to reserve spots.

3. Brunch and Brews with Lorelei Brewing Company
Spend Sunday Funday in the Bluff at one of Corpus’ local breweries, Lorelei Brewing Company. Along with all of your favorite beer on tap, they will be serving their brand-new wine selection, house-made sangria, beer mock-tails, and their signature "Mermosas". Coastal Sol Food Truck is serving a delicious brunch menu exclusive to this event. Kid and dog-friendly.

4. Mother’s Day Brunch with Water Street Seafood Co.
Water Street Restaurants is hosting a delicious Sunday brunch fit for a queen. The buffet-style brunch will include everything from omelets to shrimp and grits to a beef tenderloin carving station. Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and other signature cocktails will be flowing at the bar. In true Water Street fashion, this sophisticated and fun event will book up fast, so be sure to secure your reservation quickly!

5. Mother’s Day Summer Workout Bash
Hosted by the Surf & Yoga Festival, the Mother’s Day Summer Workout Bash offers some fun in the sun and beach activities galore. It offers basics to hooping, belly dancing, and of course surfing and yoga. All ages are welcome, and it is encouraged to sign up ahead of time to purchase tickets. If your mom likes to break a sweat and soak in the rays, check out the Summer Workout Bash this Sunday.

6. Dollar Day for Mother’s Day at AMST
Give mom a unique experience this holiday filled with art and beauty! The Art Museum of South Texas is hosting Dollar Day (free for members). Check out the Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia Spanish Colonial Gallery, the museum’s first permanent exhibition, showcasing many Spanish Colonial, pre-Columbian, and contemporary works inspired by artisans and artists of that time. Show your mom she's a treasure by taking her on this inspiration and cultural experience!
