After a busy market season on the west coast, and A LOT of shopping for Chic to Chic, we are daily anticipating and enjoying so many new arrivals, from rugs and lighting to buffets and sofas, and everything in between. We shopped till we literally dropped, with one major objective in mind, what do our customers in Texas want and need? After gleaning some sage advice from Jeff Lewis at the Vegas market, a famous west coast designer and house-flipper, whose show is on Bravo called “Flipping Out, we decided to buy to inspire, with some key criteria. We did not neglect body comfort, selecting family and pet friendly fabrics, and furnishings built to last, across every style and price point. Furniture is Fashion. Gone are the days when collections are kept around for years. Statement pieces are also a must.
According to Jeff Lewis, our job is to protect our customers from making bad decisions and to help them protect resale value if they own their home. Space planning is key and measuring properly, especially for sectionals, rugs and wood furniture pieces. All of our designers on staff make house calls so we can assist you with measuring your space. It saves our customers from making expensive mistakes.
Overall the mainstream style is warmer this season, with color trending (yay!), along with literally every wood finish, from espresso to lighter tones and painted finishes. Concrete, stone and metal are particular popular in end tables, consoles and coffee tables, while adding natural elements like baskets and woven products to give a space a layered, eclectic look. Better to have one interesting statement piece of pottery or sculptural piece, than a lot of little objects that make a room look cluttered. We focused on sourcing quality pieces from around the world at the best possible prices, pieces that everyone else also won’t have. Let us know what you want and need today! We are here to assist you Monday thru Saturday 10am-4pm. Design appointments are available before and after the shop closes.
