From miles of beaches to waterpark rides to shops, there is no shortage of reasons to visit Padre Island. And now, you can add a Crab Cake Oscar to the list.
The newly installed Saturday breakfast menu at Scuttlebutts Bar and Grill has plenty of classic breakfast eats, from omelets to pancakes. It also features a unique dish that all local foodies must order: The Crab Cake Oscar.
The Crab Cake Oscar is a seaman’s take on the steak Oscar, and the Scuttlebutts way also makes it a scrumptious morning treat. They start with a crab cake and then top with hash browns, a poached egg, and coat in hollandaise sauce. The result? This rich dish has an island flare.
This savory plate pairs well with mimosas and friends. Start your weekend out right by gathering your crew for the Scuttlebutts breakfast, which runs from 6 am – 10 am on Saturdays.
One bite and there’s no doubt about it: Scuttlebutts, wanting to give more breakfast options to residents East of the Causeway, has given the entire Coastal Bend another must-do on Padre Island.
